Making Your Own Convenience Foods

There is a post from Michelle at leaving excess about things you can do ahead of time when you have time to make it easier to make meals at home instead of eating out.

One of the things I do, is chop up onions, green peppers and colored peppers and freeze them to use when I need them. Once in awhile I find the colored peppers on sale and buy them and freeze to use in future meals. If you chop them, place on a cookie sheet to freeze and then bag them after they are frozen. That way they aren't one big ball. Another thing I've started doing is buy chunks of cheese when they are on sale and grate and freeze the same way as above.
